create christmas hanging tree ornaments

Using this step by step photoshop tutorial you will be able to draw christmas ornmaments. I have used pen tool, transformation tool, eraser tool. I have shown how to combine curve shape using crtl + E and apply sharpen filter.


CHRISTMAS - ornament
Step 1: We are about to learn how to draw a christmas ornament, first of all we will open a new file in Adobe Photoshop. We will create a new 220px by 200px document with a white background, and reset your background foreground colors to default (i.e. black white).
Step 2: Add a new layer on top now and fill it with color = #62B82B.
Step 3: (Add new layer) Now by using pen tool draw a circular shape and then modify the shape as given below and fill it with black color:

Step 4: (Add new layer) Fill it with this color= #F6DD00. After that with the help of ctrl + t (transformation tool) resize it.


Step 5: You will get this result after resizing.


Step 6: (Add new layer) Draw this object on the upper area of the previous object by using pen too and fill it with black color.

Step 7: (Add new layer) Fill it with this color = C2D4DB#. Now resize it.

Step 8: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #F3B600.

Step 9: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #EB7515.

Step 10: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #FFF780.

Step 11: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #FFF780.

Step 12: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #EB7515:

Step 13: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with white color.

Step 14: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with this color = #EB7515:

Step 15: (Add new layer) Draw this object by using pen tool and fill it with black color.

Step 16: (Add new layer) Copy this layer and fill it with this color = #DF002B now resize it.

Step 17: With the help of Eraser tool try to remove the corners.



Step 18: Select this brush:

Step 19: (Add new layer) After selecting this brush make those shapes with this color = #A71625:

Step 20: (Add new layer) Then make these objects by the same brush with this color = #EF863C:

Step 21: (Add new layer) As the arrow shows make an object in the middle and fill it with this color = #EF863C:

Step 22: Apply outline to this object settings are:

Step 23: (Add new layer) Draw these object by using pen tool and fill it with black color.

Step 24: (Add new layer) Draw these shapes by using pen tool and fill it with black color:

Step 25: (Add new layer) Copy it one by one and resize the object, every time make it more bigger than the previous one.

Step 26: Now select all these curve shapes and combine them in one layer by crtl + e.

Step 27: Send them behind all the previous shapes not the last one

Step 28: Apply this Filter –> Sharpen –> Sharpen:

Step 29: This will be the result after applying the filter.

Step 30: Copy it several time and place it one by one on the black colored lines around the main object.

Step 31: (Add new layer) After completing the placement draw some small objects on each curve shape one by one and fill it with this color = #CDAA2B.

Step 32: Select all the layers and merge them all by ctrl + e, after that copy it and place the layer in the back of the real one. Now fill it with this color = #CDAA2B

Step 33: Goto Filter –> Blur –> Blur to give smoothness:

Step 34: This will be the final output.
